The Department of Urology at the Asklepios Bad Wildungen Municipal Clinic under the direction of Dr. med. Thomas Fröhlich covers almost all conservative and surgical urology. The department focuses on the treatment of diseases of the urinary system, such as kidneys, ureters and urethra, and genital diseases of the prostate, testicles and penis.

The physicians of the Department under the direction of Dr. med. Thomas Fröhlich have a unique competence in the field of organ preservation surgery to treat kidney tumors, nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy, as well as bladder removal with the urinary catheter placement. In addition, upon the availability of indications there is provided the further treatment by means of chemotherapy after tumor removal. All patients are discussed during the interdisciplinary cancer consultations, which involve the participation of specialized doctors form other departments of the Asklepios Bad Wildungen Municipal Clinic.
