The Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology is mainly devoted to the treatment of degenerative and traumatic disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the spinal column. It also covers the treatments of all dieses of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles, which enables movement.

The fields of orthopedic interventions include multiple bone fracture of the limbs or spine, joint dislocations, muscle strains, bone tumors or infections, or advanced osteoarthritis (hip, knee), which requires total or partial replacement of the joint though prosthesis.
