Hearing impairment is one of the most common diseases in our society. In Germany alone, about 15 million people of all ages suffer from various forms of this disease. All forms and degrees of hearing loss without exception can now be diagnosed and treated using the latest medical and technological developments.

Otolaryngology Clinic at the Medical University of Hanover is renowned at the international level thanks to the world's largest program for treatment of deaf and hardly hearing patients using the cochlear implant.
