Specialized in: angiology, cardiology
The main focus of the cardiology and angiology clinic is clinical treatment, as well as experimental and clinical studies of acute myocardial infarction, chronic heart failure, arteriosclerosis and heart rhythm abnormalities. The interdisciplinary focus is represented by cardiomyopathy in pregnant women and, in particular, peripartum cardiomyopathy.
The clinic offers the modern methods of medical diagnostics and treatment, coupled with the desire to put people at the center of attention in order to provide the patient with optimal and competent care. The aim of the entire team of the cardiology and angiology clinic is the development of individual, inclusive and, where possible, sparing therapy concept for each patient in close cooperation with the previous and subsequent attending physicians.
The angiologic outpatient clinic treats patients with diseases of the peripheral arteries, veins and lymphatic vessels. The clinic possesses the whole range of non-invasive diagnostic tools of circulatory disorders (Doppler sonography, full-color transcranial Doppler sonography, venous occlusive plethysmography, rheography in reflected light, capillary microscopy and percutaneous oxygen measurement). The main focus of the outpatient department is full-color duplex scanning of vessels, as well as duplex sonography of the great arteries. It diagnoses the need for examination using a catheter or surgical intervention. The patients after vascular surgical interventions (PTA, bypass surgery) may undergo the further treatment here. According to FOCUS, the cardiology and angiology clinic is one of the best hospitals in cardiology.
