In the vascular center of the Hirslanden Klinik in Aarau there is a unique close cooperation between an angiologist and vascular surgeries. All patients of the vascular center will be evaluated by two specialists. In a discussion the best for the patient will be selected. The two highly qualified partners guarantee the professional competence in the treatment of this difficult clinical series.

At Vascular Center all diseases of the arteries, the veins and the lymph vessels will be ascertained with the most modern methods. For the treatment and care of difficult wounds is an experienced wound expert available.

The infrastructure of the hospital with 24-hour emergency department, well-equipped operation level and certified ICU allowed if needed a rapid, comprehensive treatment.

All outpatient therapies are made either in the treatment rooms of the center itself or in the operating theaters of the Hirslanden Clinic.

Larger operations take place in the well-equipped operating theaters of the hospital. Surgical treatment includes both the best practice and the most modern methods of endovascular therapy.
The treatment is done in consultation with a referring physician. Usually there is a re-examination after the procedure, so in terms of quality control. For complex interventions repeated examinations are necessary.

Patients rooms

The kid rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kid bathroom includes both a toilet and a shower. All rooms offer functional beds with orthopaedic mattresses ensuring unsurpassed support for overall body during sleep. There are bedside stands with pull-out tables, lockers and safe boxes in each room. It is also possible to access the Internet from a PC, smartphone or tablet so that kids always keep in touch with their parents and other family members. There is also a TV in each room.
You can opt for a single or a double room. An accompanying person may stay with the kid in the room. A double room is shared with another patient.
The enhanced comfort rooms are equipped with a safety box, a fridge and upholstered furniture.

Meals and Menus

The patient and the accompanying person are offered a daily choice of three menus. If you are on a specific diet for any reason, you will be offered an individual menu. Please inform the medical staff about your dietary preferences prior to the treatment.
