The St. Anna acute hospital and its team of cardiologists are reorganising its range of services about cardiovascular diseases, and its new cardiac centre now offers a modern interdisciplinary network with a full range of cardiology facilities - including emergency treatment and a 24-hour catheter laboratory - for the treatment of all cardiovascular patients in Central Switzerland aged 16 and over.

The HCC is backed up by a highly experienced team of cardiologists dedicated to the provision of continuous treatment and care: from the moment of referral, both inpatients and outpatients remain in direct contact with medical specialists throughout the treatment period until they are re-turned to the care of their own doctors. Short waiting times, cutting-edge infrastructure, seamless provision of services - naturally on a 24-hour basis for emergencies - and close cooperation with other specialists in the hospital and with referring doctors are what make the HCC a top-class competence centre, with its 7 cardiologists, Emergency Department and laboratory teams and nursing staff. . Its specialist areas are electrophysiology, acute treatment for cardiac emergencies and invasive cardiology.
