The Department of Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at the Klinikum Nürnberg, headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. Martin Gosau, offers the whole range of services for the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases of oral cavity, jaw as well as plastic surgery.

The Department of Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery treats about 1,400 inpatients every year as well as performs 500 outpatient operations in two central operating theatres and in one operating room (ITN) for the outpatient surgery. The Outpatient Department of Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery regularly carries out dental / surgical interventions of any kind, from a tooth extraction and up to the complicated implantations as well as minimally invasive surgeries of jaw and face under local anesthesia.

Due to a close collaboration of the complementary disciplines within the regular interdisciplinary conferences in the Ultimate Healthcare Institution and a close cooperation with the Departments of Pediatric Surgery, Neurosurgery, Radiation Therapy and Oncology as well as due to the use of the cutting edge diagnostic and therapeutic methods, the patients receive the high-class medical services. The highly-qualified team of doctors, nurses, dentists’ assistants and administration officials, headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. Martin Gosau, try to make the patient stay in the Department as nice as possible and to create the conditions for a speedy recovery.

The Department of Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at the Klinikum Nürnberg, headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. Martin Gosau, offers the following range of services:

About hospital

The Klinikum Nürnberg is a modern hospital and an academic educational hospital in Germany. Patients rooms

The kid rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kid bathroom includes both a toilet and a shower. All rooms offer functional beds with orthopaedic mattresses ensuring unsurpassed support for overall body during sleep. There are bedside stands with pull-out tables, lockers and safe boxes in each room. It is also possible to access the Internet from a PC, smartphone or tablet so that kids always keep in touch with their parents and other family members. There is also a TV in each room.
You can opt for a single or a double room. An accompanying person may stay with the kid in the room. A double room is shared with another patient.
The enhanced comfort rooms are equipped with a safety box, a fridge and upholstered furniture.

Meals and Menus

The patient and the accompanying person are offered a daily choice of three menus. If you are on a specific diet for any reason, you will be offered an individual menu. Please inform the medical staff about your dietary preferences prior to the treatment.
