About hospital

Aachen was found by the romans in the I century as a large spa resort. It was favoured residence of Charlemagne, who made the city the capital of his empire. The church built by Charlemagne is still the main attraction of the city. In addition to holding the remains of its founder, it became the burial place of his successor Otto III. Aachen Cathedral has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Luisenhospital is a modern general hospital of Aachen with 348 beds and 8 departments, with corresponding diagnostic spectrum (including magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and clinical laboratory). Each year about 15,500 inpatients and about 27,700 outpatients are treated.
