Private Hospital Dr. Herzog Nidda

Nidda, Germany

The Private Hospital Dr. Herzog was founded over 20 years ago. The team of the hospital, in collaboration with Dr. Herzog, develops an individual treatment regimen for each patient, using modern equipment, long experience and professionalism of doctors. The hospital specializes in the treatment of various types of cancer, as well as in the treatment of Lyme disease, postoperative therapy and rehabilitation. The hospital has 30 beds for comfortable accommodation of patients on an inpatient basis.

When treating oncological diseases, the team of doctors applies the latest technique called hyperthermia. Hyperthermia is an additional treatment for cancer. During this procedure, the specialists of the hospital inject special medicines into certain organs or parts of the body, which are subsequently exposed to high temperatures. This helps to destroy cancer cells and increase the effectiveness of radiation therapy or chemotherapy.

The medical staff of the hospital regularly undergoes advanced training courses and consists of top-class specialists in the area of their specialization. Each member of the medical team provides patients with a high level of care and attaches great importance to a friendly and warm attitude, which contributes to the rapid recovery and a quick return to everyday life.

A great advantage of the hospital is the cooperation with the Universities of Frankfurt, Giessen and Marburg, which allows finding optimal solutions in the most difficult clinical cases. Thanks to this cooperation, the hospital offers such therapeutic procedures as regional embolization, CyberKnife treatment, placement of port systems, stents, etc. For example, in patients with brain metastases, it is often preferable to perform targeted irradiation with a Cyberknife rather than irradiating the entire brain and putting the patient at risk of damage to vital parts of the brain.

The hospital enjoys a reputation as one of the best highly specialized medical facilities of its kind in Germany and throughout Europe. Within the walls of the medical center, the doctors provide the successful treatment of oncopathologies and other chronic diseases in adults and children. The hospital perfectly combines the highest medical service, quality and responsive care, as well as comfortable accommodation, which guarantees patient satisfaction and the best treatment results.

Location

Nidda is a small town located in the state of Hessen within the Wetterau region. Despite the fact that the town has a small area and population, it is quite developed and divided into 18 districts. At the same time, the town has not lost the spirit of the late Middle Ages. It has a special atmosphere due to the abundance of ancient buildings and churches of the XVII and XVIII centuries. The town attracts tourists who want to take a break from the noisy city life and its countryside allows them to take a break from the everyday life of metropolises and enjoy the fresh air and comfort. The town also has many hotels for every taste and budget.

Among the sights of the town, it is worth noting the mineral springs located nearby. One of the oldest buildings is the Church of the Holy Spirit in the Renaissance style, the construction of which dates back to 1615-1618. The church is notable for the fact that its murals contain inscriptions in Hebrew, Greek and Latin. Here one can also find an ancient castle in the Renaissance style. It was built approximately in 1600, on the foundations of the ancient castle of Graf Berthold von Nidda. The castle is surrounded by a moat, as it was supposed to be at that time. It previously served as a residence for various officials and politicians, and in 1889 a prison was built here. In the summertime, the castle hosts various events, such as theater and pantomime performances, as well as music festivals.

For those who want to go deeper into the history of the town, there is the Fire Services Museum and the Museum of Local History, which is located in the building of the former town hotel. It is one of the largest buildings on the market square, which was built in 1632. One can find a former Town Hall nearby, as well as a red sandstone fountain with the image of the coat of arms of Nidda.
