The section of gynecology aims at achieving the best possible quality in patient care, research and student teaching. In accordance with the “pillar concept” of the professional association, the German Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics all areas of the field are represented in the women’s clinic. In addition, the spectrum of the women’s clinic has been expanded by the functional areas “gynecological psychosomatic diseases treatment” and “plastic and aesthetic surgery”.
The section of gynecological Oncology offers the full range of gynecological operations, which has the focus on the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant tumors. A Breast Center and a Gynecologic Cancer Center settled at the women’s clinic in cooperation with other university disciplines. Both are certified by external assessors according to the specifications of the German Cancer Society. Since 2007, the Comprehensive Cancer Center CIO Cologne-Bonn (Center for Integrated Oncology) was established, which has been recognized and promoted by the German Sociaty of Cancer Aid as one of the ten german oncological centers.
Bonn University Clinic is a multidisciplinary health care institution which is one of the largest in Germany. The clinic provides treatment both for patients from Germany, and for foreign ones. Diagnosis and treatment of patients here is at the highest level, and their combination with the latest scientific research allows quickly implement all the innovations to the clinical practice. All areas of modern medicine are presented at Bonn University Clinic. Its structure includes 31 specialized clinics and 21 diagnostic and research institutions. University Hospital employs more than 4500 employees, more than 750 of which are doctors and professors. In the clinic, there are 10 intensive care units and 30 operating theaters for all surgery directions. The capacity of the clinic – 1,250 beds. More than 40,000 patients undergo inpatient treatment annually; about 1,500 people visit the outpatient departments every day.
Accommodation in hospital
The kid rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kid bathroom includes both a toilet and a shower. All rooms offer functional beds with orthopaedic mattresses ensuring unsurpassed support for overall body during sleep. There are bedside stands with pull-out tables, lockers and safe boxes in each room. It is also possible to access the Internet from a PC, smartphone or tablet so that kids always keep in touch with their parents and other family members. There is also a TV in each room.
You can opt for a single or a double room. An accompanying person may stay with the kid in the room. A double room is shared with another patient.
The enhanced comfort rooms are equipped with a safety box, a fridge and upholstered furniture.
Meals and Menus
The patient and the accompanying person are offered a daily choice of three menus. If you are on a specific diet for any reason, you will be offered an individual menu. Please inform the medical staff about your dietary preferences prior to the treatment.

Christian priests are available for the patients at any time. Representatives of other religions may be requested at any time.
Your companion may stay with you in your room or at a hotel of your choice during the fixed program.
