The Department of Oral, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at the University Hospital Bonn offers diagnosis, conservative and surgical treatment, prevention and rehabilitation after diseases, injuries, pathologies, tumors and shape changes in facial skull, teeth, periodontal membrane, alveolar processes and hard palate. The head of the Department is Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. dent. Rudolf H. Reich.

The Department of Oral, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery thus includes the mentioned treatments of both jaws, including surgical maxillofacial orthodontics, treatment of palate, lips, nose sinuses, maxilla and zygomatic bone, mandible including the temporomandibular joint, the anterior 2/3 of the tongue, walls of the oral cavity, salivary glands (esp. submandibular and parotid gland) and soft tissues of the facial skeleton, lymph nodes.  

Moreover, the range of clinical services of the Department of Oral, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery under the direction of Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. dent. Rudolf H. Reich includes everything related to the above-mentioned diseases, adjacent nerves, correction of the mouth and oral diaphragm as well as biting and chewing functions, reconstruction of prostheses and other prosthetic and orthopedic devices and orthopedic correction, implantology, reconstructive and plastic surgery of the above listed areas.
