The Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center combines the clinical and research activities of all Charité departments and institutes concerned with Cancer medicine. The director of the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center is Prof. Dr. med. Ulrich Keilholz. The Center provides comprehensive care for patients at the latest state of the art medicine.

The Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center organizes and coordinates work in all areas of Cancer medicine in the many Charité centers, interdisciplinary tumor centers, and related academic fields. Medical care of a high clinical and scientific level is delivered by the Center through a unified, interdisciplinary approach to diagnosis, therapy, post-treatment care and rehabilitation as well as modern strategies of prevention and early diagnosis of malignant forms of the disease.

An additional aim of the Center is to offer continual psychooncological counseling and care to Cancer patients before, during, and after therapy by specially trained professionals. Cooperation and integration of the entire medical care system (family physicians, specialists, hospitals, psychological and social care centers, self-help groups and hospices) aim to provide long-term care of patients suffering from Cancer.

Patients rooms

The kid rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kid bathroom includes both a toilet and a shower. All rooms offer functional beds with orthopaedic mattresses ensuring unsurpassed support for overall body during sleep. There are bedside stands with pull-out tables, lockers and safe boxes in each room. It is also possible to access the Internet from a PC, smartphone or tablet so that kids always keep in touch with their parents and other family members. There is also a TV in each room.
You can opt for a single or a double room. An accompanying person may stay with the kid in the room. A double room is shared with another patient.
The enhanced comfort rooms are equipped with a safety box, a fridge and upholstered furniture.

Meals and Menus

The patient and the accompanying person are offered a daily choice of three menus. If you are on a specific diet for any reason, you will be offered an individual menu. Please inform the medical staff about your dietary preferences prior to the treatment.
