The Department of Pediatric Pulmonology, Immunology and Intensive Care at the Charite University Hospital Berlin offers the full range of services in these fields. The department positions itself as a maximum care medical facility specializing in the treatment of children and adolescents with allergic diseases, as well as with all acute and chronic respiratory diseases, immunological and autoimmune disorders, cystic fibrosis and rheumatic diseases. The department deals with the treatment of infants, young children and adolescents under the age of 18. Congenital cystic fibrosis is treated in patients of all age groups. Depending on the complexity of the clinical case, the treatment can be provided both on an inpatient and outpatient basis, as well as in a day hospital. The Chief Physician of the department is Prof. Dr. med. Marcus Mall.
