The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the University Hospital Cologne in Germany, headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Tobias Goeser, deals with the treatment of the patients with the diseases of digestive organs, liver and biliary tract. The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology provides the medical care meeting the international standards. We use the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods, in which we integrate the results of our research in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.

The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the University Hospital Cologne in Germany, headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Tobias Goeser, includes the unit 18/1, the Endoscopy Center, ultrasound diagnosis (of the internal diseases) as well as the specialized daytime department for medical care for the patients with gastroenterological and hepatological diseases.

The patients with malignancies of liver and digestive organs are another focus of the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the University Hospital Cologne in Germany, headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Tobias Goeser, (gastroenterological oncology). These patients are monitored in a close cooperation with the Center for Interdisciplinary Oncology.

Within the framework of the multidisciplinary department of liver transplant, the gastroenterologists and surgeons monitor the patients who need a liver transplant or recover after the transplantation.
