University Gynecological Clinic is one of the largest academic hospitals in Germany. It performs the tasks of local treatment in the inpatient setting and, at the same time, thanks to specialization and focus, performs the university gynecological clinic tasks. Thus, it allows creating a triad of high-quality medical care, excellent research and extensive training. With regard to the breast cancer treatment and deliveries, the clinic is recommended in the list of top hospitals compiled by FOCUS.

The gynecological clinics comprises obstetrics with gynecologic oncology, specialized obstetrics and perinatal medicine as priority areas, as well as gynecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine. Besides, there are special ambulances, allowing to provide expert care for patients. Interdisciplinary approach required in many areas is implemented in this health care facility using the certified or accredited interdisciplinary centers. These centers provide appropriate special consultations on the edge of different disciplines, which allows to find the best treatment in various situations. For some diseases, there are special clinics of pediatric and adolescent gynecology, transsexualism, (affordable) clinics for women and girls with disabilities, integrative medicine clinic for urinary incontinence and pelvic floor weakness. These centers annually undergo a quality check by means of external certification and accreditation.
