The Department of Hematology, Oncology, Hemostasis, Rheumatology and Infectology under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Hubert Serve is a Medical Department №2 at the University Hospital Frankfurt. The Department specializes in the treatment of all diseases of the hymatopoietic system and solid tumors. The focuses of the Department include treatment of acute and chronic leukemia, malignant limphomas, treatment of such solid tumors as those of lungs, tumors of the gastrointestinal tract, renal cell carcinomas, sarcomas of soft tissues and bones. 

The Department at the University Hospital Frankfurt has an advanced transplantation station with 10 beds for stem cell and bone marrow (BMT) transplants. The Department is a big center for stem cell and bone marrow transplants. Annually about 80-100 transpalnts are carried out in the Department. There are transplanted both autologous and allogeneic (with stem cells of brothers/sisters or unrelated donors) transplants.

The most important objective of the professionals under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Hubert Serve is to provide patients with professional and human competent care. There is an intensive cooperation between clinical and research activities in order to provide treatment of the internationally recognized level in accordance with the latest scientific achievements.
