The Department of Dermatology and Venereology at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf deals with the treatment of the entire range of dermatological and venereal diseases. The Department focuses on the treatment of patients with skin tumors, chronic wounds (open leg), phlebological diseases and chronic inflammatory diseases (e.g. eczema, psoriasis or neurodermatitis) as well as those with autoimmune diseases. To treat chronic wounds (open leg), the specialists of the Department stimulate reproduction of Your own cells in the cell culture and then transplant them on Your wounds (“tissue engineering"). Furthermore, there are used maggot therapy and all modern wound dressings. 

Moreover, the Department offers a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of allergies. There are used the most advanced laser technologies, especially for the treatment of vasodilation and scars. Within aesthetic treatment You will be offered to try the latest methods of aesthetic dermatology. The Department also provides counseling for the patients wishing to have children.
