The National Cancer Center (NCC) Heidelberg is a joint offspring of the Heidelberg University Hospital, the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Thoracic Department of the Heidelberg University and the German Cancer Aid. The managing directors of the center are Professor Dr. Dirk Jäger and Prof. Dr. Christof von Kalle. The patients of the Center benefit from the use of the latest research results in the clinical practice and the best individual medical care comprising diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.

Firstly, the patients receiove care in the outpatient departments of oncology and then there are developed individual treatment plans within the multidisciplinary oncology counseling. A wide range of consultation services completes a comprehensive medical aid and care in the outpatient department, daytime hospital and units of the University Hospital.
