The Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Jena, under the lead of Prof. Dr. med. Otto W. Witte, offers patients a wide spectrum of contemporary clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic services, looking back on a long-standing tradition in the field of patient care, research and teaching. Currently, more than 80 employees at the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Jena are engaged in the treatment and research of different neurological diseases. In the field of research, a number of research groups are involved in exploring various aspects of the nervous system ranging from molecular neurobiology to the modern technique of neuroimaging.

A team of highly qualified specialists at the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Jena, under the lead of Prof. Dr. med. Otto W. Witte, treats patients with the various neurological diseases:
