The Department of Dermatology of Uniklinikum Tübingen specializes in the research and treatment of skin diseases. The primary objective of the Department of Dermatology is to provide people having severe skin diseases with the best diagnostic options, optimal human care and the latest therapy method. For many years, the department belongs to one of the best around the world according to assessment by patients and physicians, as well as the scientific ranking. In order to improve the care and treatment for patients constantly, the department has set following clinical and scientific priorities: allergies, autoimmune diseases, vascular diseases and inflammation, infectious skin diseases, light-related illnesses and therapy by light, surgical treatment of tumor diseases, aesthetic reconstructive surgery, aesthetic dermatology, laser therapy and drug tumor therapy with new immune- and chemotherapy. There are also laboratories for allergy and immunology, histology, molecular biology and genetics and mycology in the department.

The kid rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kid bathroom includes both a toilet and a shower. All rooms offer functional beds with orthopaedic mattresses ensuring unsurpassed support for overall body during sleep. There are bedside stands with pull-out tables, lockers and safe boxes in each room. It is also possible to access the Internet from a PC, smartphone or tablet so that kids always keep in touch with their parents and other family members. There is also a TV in each room.
You can opt for a single or a double room. An accompanying person may stay with the kid in the room. A double room is shared with another patient.
The enhanced comfort rooms are equipped with a safety box, a fridge and upholstered furniture.
