The University Clinic of Dermatology and Allergology at Ulm University Clinic has 35 hospital and 14 outpatient beds. Dermatology and allergology, in their clinical claims, as well as in research and development over the past 15 years, have undergone fundamental changes and turned into a modern medical discipline for treatment of often critically ill patients receiving the causal treatment using differentiated topical and/or systemic treatment methods.

The clinic is a certified center of GA2LEN (Global Allergy & Asthma European Network). On the one hand, it points to one of the highest standards in patient care at the University Clinic, and, on the other hand, to a high scientific level, which is also a prerequisite for access to international research and educational programs at the level of EU requirements. In 2009, a dermatological and oncological center of Ulm was established, having a certification according to the directives of the German Cancer Society and DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 since March 2010.
