Paediatric Clinic provides patient care of high quality at the interregional level. The services are provided for all ages. The main areas include the neonatology, pediatric intensive care, oncology and stem cell transplantation, pulmonology, rheumatology, infectology and immunology, nephrology and pediatric neurology, as well as other surgical disciplines.

For clinical treatment of premature infants and newborns, there is an intensive care unit for premature and newborn babies and the newborns in the center of mother and child (perinatal center of the highest level (level I) in the building of the gynecological clinic. Another interdisciplinary intensive care unit for newborns and older children, as well as neonatology department, are located in the main building of the Paediatric Clinic. Older children are treated in the general pediatric department and department of oncology, including the pediatric department of stem cell therapy.

About hospital

University Hospital Wurzburg includes 19 departments with outpatient clinics, three independent clinics and four clinical institutions. It also comprises four experimentally-oriented institutes, or departments. The hospital is ranked 8th in the top list of the best medical institutions recommended by FOCUS in 2016.

Each year, approximately 57,000 patients receive qualified treatment in the hospital, and approximately 235,000 patients undergo outpatient treatment. The number of beds is 1430. Patients rooms

The kid rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kid bathroom includes both a toilet and a shower. All rooms offer functional beds with orthopaedic mattresses ensuring unsurpassed support for overall body during sleep. There are bedside stands with pull-out tables, lockers and safe boxes in each room. It is also possible to access the Internet from a PC, smartphone or tablet so that kids always keep in touch with their parents and other family members. There is also a TV in each room.
You can opt for a single or a double room. An accompanying person may stay with the kid in the room. A double room is shared with another patient.
The enhanced comfort rooms are equipped with a safety box, a fridge and upholstered furniture.

Meals and Menus

The patient and the accompanying person are offered a daily choice of three menus. If you are on a specific diet for any reason, you will be offered an individual menu. Please inform the medical staff about your dietary preferences prior to the treatment.
