The Department of Traumatology, Hand Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery It provides a full range of services for trauma and reconstructive surgery, plastic and aesthetic surgery and hand surgery. This is the central part of the trauma center which serves as a coordination point for the seriously wounded (polytraumatised) patients. For treatment of patients after surgery, there is a physiotherapy department with modern equipment, including a swimming pool for hydrokinezitherapy. The clinic has its own department of plastic and cosmetic surgery.
Department of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology
The Deaprtment of Dermatology, Venereology and Allergology offers a full range of conservative and operative dermatology. The main directions are the treatment of malignant tumors of the skin, diagnostics and treatment of allergic and autoimmune skin diseases. The specialized outpatient clinics take care for the patients with psoriasis, neurodermatitis and excessive sweating, melanomas and lymphomas of the skin, trophic venous ulcers of the shin, diseases of the anal area and vulva.
Department of Gynecology, Mammalogy and Obstetrics
The department has two gynecological obstetric inpatient units and three gynecological units, a maternity room with 5 maternity wards, perinatal center of the highest level (level I) with six incubators (lung ventilators) and three operating rooms equipped with modern facilities. The gynecological clinic is included in the list of recommended specialized clinics for treatment of breast cancer and clinics for infants according to the list of the best medical institutions compiled by FOCUS for 2016.
Department of Otolaryngology, Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery
University ENT Clinic of Würzburg is one of the most famous and biggest ENT clinics in Germany. Its international reputation is based on the work of the "father of the ear microsurgery," Professor Horst Wullstein, who embodied the concept of clinic for treatment of head and neck diseases in 1970. Department of Cardiology, Pulmonology and Angiology
Medical Clinic I is mainly engaged in six areas of internal medicine, i.e. cardiology, intensive care, neurology, pulmonology, angiology; their research, teaching and care of patients with the relevant conditions. The clinic has 62 full-time positions and 20 externally funded places for researchers. The number of beds is 144 (including 24 beds in the ICU and 12 beds in the emergency department); each year, it treats about 7,500 hospital patients.
Departmetn of Hematology, Oncology, Gastroenterology and Rheumatology
Medical Clinic II provides inpatient and outpatient treatment to patients with hematologic/oncologic, gastrointestinal and rheumatological/immunological diseases. In March 2005, it opened a new center for stem cell transplantation. Outpatient chemotherapy, immunotherapy and antibody therapy is carried out during the day in the therapeutic outpatient unit. The clinic also has a special department for care after patients with severe infections.
Department of Neurosurgery
The Department of Neurosurgery treats patients with various diseases of the brain, spinal cord, spine and peripheral nerves. This applies to adults, infants and children. The clinic employs an experienced team of doctors who every year provides advice to more than 5,600 patients.
Department of Neurology
The clinic offers emergency neurological assistance and first aid (e.g. in the field of apoplexy) at the modern university level and serves as a reference center for the whole area of neurology in Lower Franconia. The Department of Orthopedics is a department for diagnostics and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. Department of Orthopedics annually provides inpatient treatment to 4,000 patients and out-patient treatment to 20,000 patients. The department employs approximately 330 persons and has more than 123 beds, which are located in four different departments. 5 operating rooms are used for about 4,000 surgeries a year.

Department of Orthodontics apply to the whole range of different types of orthodontic anomalies. These include the prevention and treatment of deformation of the teeth, incorrect position of the jaw, malformations of the facial skeleton.
Department of Oral Surgery, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery
The Department of Oral Surgery, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery is located at the heart of the old town of Würzburg, in the modern, newly built premises. The department offers its patients a full range of treatments, from outpatient dental surgery to the "large" inpatient and maxillofacial surgery. The clinic conducts all dental surgical procedures of dental treatment, ranging from simple removal of the tooth to the tooth implant surgery. The department uses the latest diagnostic and treatment methods, such as digital radiography, digital volumetric tomography (CT), ultrasound or laser surgery.
