The Department of Orthopedics is a department for diagnostics and treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. Department of Orthopedics annually provides inpatient treatment to 4,000 patients and out-patient treatment to 20,000 patients. The department employs approximately 330 persons and has more than 123 beds, which are located in four different departments. 5 operating rooms are used for about 4,000 surgeries a year. Regardless of whether it is a member of the medical team, medical service, nurse or employee of the information or technical service, physiotherapy or administrative part, everyone in department of orthopedics is trying to provide comfort for the patient. The Department of Orthopedics is included in the list of recommended specialized orthopedic departments according to the list of the best medical institutions compiled by FOCUS for 2016.

The main directions of services in the Department of Orthopedics are arthroscopy, joint replacement surgery of the foot and ankle, pediatric orthopedics, neuroorthopedy, osteology/osteoporosis, tumor orthopedics, rheumatic orthopedics, shoulder and elbow surgery, orthopedics and sports orthopedics of the spine.
