About hospital
The Clinic Valmont Montreux is a progressive highly specialized medical facility, which offers top-class services in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation. The clinic was founded in 1905 by the famous Dr. Henri-Auguste Widmer. The clinic earned popularity and worldwide recognition quite quickly. This was facilitated by the use of the very latest treatment methods, such as electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, light therapy, air baths, etc. An important role in the success of clinical practice is played by the advantageous location of the medical complex, which is surrounded by the Alps and Lake Geneva. Clean mountain air and pristine nature contribute to relaxation and effective treatment.
The main specialization of the clinic is the implementation of comprehensive rehabilitation measures for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and cancers of the central nervous system. In addition, the competence of the clinic's specialists covers orthopedic rehabilitation, which is aimed at the restoration of musculoskeletal functions in patients with serious injuries, degenerative and inflammatory joint diseases, pathological changes in bone tissue, etc.
The clinic employs leading doctors from various medical specialties, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists, neuropsychologists and other experts. The specialists work hand in hand for the benefit of their patients, providing them with individualized treatment in accordance with the current clinical protocols of rehabilitation medicine.
The pride of the clinic is also the state-of-art infrastructure, namely a swimming pool designed for swimming and performing rehabilitation exercises, spacious gyms with various simulators for motor function restoration, a gym with a climbing wall, ergotherapy rooms with specially equipped workstations for the restoration of professional skills, the Wii device for balance training in a game form, etc.
