About the department keyboard_arrow_down

The Department of General, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery offers the best surgical treatment for diseases of chest and abdominal cavity, of hormone-producing organs and vessels and for morbid obesity. The Department of General, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery develops the therapeutic strategy together with patients and other related departments. Therefore, by treating malignant diseases there’s the possibility of operating not only partial removal of an organ but also complete removal of several organ systems. The Department of General, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery is “above average often recommended” according to the Focus List of Specialist Clinics for Colorectal Cancer 2016.

Main focus of the Department of General, Visceral and Thoracic Surgery includes bariatric surgery, aortic aneurysm surgery, diagnosis and treatment of venous diseases and their sequelae, dialysis shunt surgery, endocrine surgery, conservative treatment of arterial vascular diseases, liver, gall bladder and pancreas surgery, lung surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, minimally invasive endoscopic surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, open surgical and endovascular treatment of vascular diseases, thoracic trauma surgery,  venous access port implantation, esophageal surgery, thoracoscopic surgery and tumor surgery.
