About the Department of Preventive Medicine at Clinic Les Hauts de Genolier Genolier
The Department of Preventive Medicine at the Clinic Les Hauts de Genolier Genolier offers the full range of services in the area of its specialization and check-up programs aimed at early detection of diseases, reducing the risk of developing chronic pathologies and relapses of previous diseases. The department includes a specialized Men's Health Center, which is engaged in the prevention of development of urological problems in men. The department is headed by Prof. Dr. med. Martin Zarate Lagunes.
The department has a highly qualified team of experts in the field of internal medicine, who, if necessary, collaborate with doctors of related medical fields (for example, cardiologists, orthopedists, gynecologists, etc.). The clinical practice mostly deals with such pathologies as arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cancer, degenerative diseases and pathologies that develop due to the age-related changes, for example, Alzheimer's disease.
During the initial consultation, the doctor talks with the patient, finds out his complaints (if any), collects information about his lifestyle and nutrition. Based on the results, the doctor decides on the appointment of a particular check-up program. The basic universal program is called Fast Check, while the most advanced one is Excellence. Men’s Health is offered to screen health problems in men. As a rule, all check-up programs include a certain set of laboratory tests, imaging and functional studies. Even if the patient does not have any symptoms, check-up programs can identify health problems in the early stages, which will help to eliminate them effectively. In many cases, the doctors state that the patient is healthy, but has some risks of developing a certain pathology. In this situation, the patient receives recommendations for proper nutrition and lifestyle modification for preventive purposes.
The competence of the department includes the following check-up programs:
