The department's specialists most often have to deal with the rehabilitation treatment of patients after surgery for spinal disc herniation and spinal fractures, joint replacement surgery, limb amputation surgery, as well as rehabilitation of patients with back pain and rheumatic diseases. The department successfully uses such rehabilitation measures as therapeutic exercises, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and medical training therapy. The medical team consists of a highly-specialized orthopedist, physiotherapist, ergotherapist, a specialist in the field of medical profession-oriented rehabilitation and a psychologist. When providing rehabilitation, the specialists use only the most modern and the most effective therapeutic techniques, which have received wide recognition in countries with developed medicine. The required set of rehabilitation measures and the intensity of training are determined for each patient individually, taking into account the current clinical protocols. An important component of the rehabilitation treatment is a special training for patients, during which they learn about the specifics of their disease, further steps to maintain and consolidate the results of rehabilitation upon their homecoming.
