The Department of Pulmonology at the Medical Park Gebze Hospital offers the full range of medical services in this field. The priority area of the department's specialization is the treatment of lung cancer. Thanks to the excellent diagnostic equipment and the high competence of the department's pulmonologists, it is possible to achieve positive treatment results even at the advanced stages of the pathology. The choice of specific therapy methods is purely individual in each case. When developing a treatment regimen, the department's specialists always focus on the type of a tumor (non-small cell or small cell, central or peripheral cancer), the stage of the disease, the presence of metastases, the age and general condition of the patient. The main therapeutic techniques include chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, radiation therapy, cryoablation, radiofrequency ablation and surgical treatment (sparing organ-preserving surgeries, such as wedge-shaped or segmental resection, lobectomy, pneumonectomy).
The department is also highly effective in the treatment of bronchial asthma. According to the results of the diagnostics and taking into account the etiological causes of the disease, the department's specialists develop a comprehensive and most effective treatment regimen. To systemically treat bronchial asthma, the doctors mostly prescribe the inhaled corticosteroids, long-acting beta-agonists, leukotriene synthesis inhibitors, inhalations with various medicinal agents.
The doctors also have extensive experience in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
