The Department of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Clinical Chemistry at the Heidelberg University Hospital offers patients expert knowledge in the field of treatment and science and provides excellent medical care. In addition, a wide range of medical challenges and medical teaching characterize the Department. The chief physician of the Department is Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Peter P. Nawroth.

The main clinical focuses of the Department of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Clinical Chemistry are metabolic diseases and disorders due to such diseases as diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis and thyroid diseases.

The range of provided services of the Department of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Clinical Chemistry at the Heidelberg University Hospital under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Peter P. Nawroth includes i.a.:
