About the Department of Neurology at Clinic de Genolier Genolier
The Department of Neurology at the Clinic de Genolier Genolier offers the full range of diagnostics and treatment of diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system. The specialization covers medical care for patients with pathologies of the brain and spinal cord, nerve endings and muscles. In addition, the tasks of the department's team of neurologists include the treatment of headaches, dizziness and other balance disorders, pain in the face, back, etc. The department is headed by Dr. med. Antonio Carota.
To provide the accurate diagnostics, the department uses advanced medical equipment, including MRI and CT scans, encephalography, myelography, Doppler ultrasonography and other diagnostic procedures.
In most cases, the treatment is based on pharmacotherapy – depending on the type of neurological disorder, the patients are prescribed medications, many of which are unique and available only in Swiss clinics. When prescribing this or that drug, the neurologist sets himself the goal to rid the patient of the pain syndrome and, if possible, to achieve complete recovery of his nervous system. If a complete cure is impossible, then the doctor's task is to prevent the progression of the disease.
The patients receive medical care from the experienced and qualified team of doctors, who cooperate closely with specialists from related fields, especially with neurosurgeons.
The department's range of medical services includes:
