Traumatology Clinic at the Medical University offers a range of activities for treatment of patients who have suffered from accidents, from bruises to complex multiple injuries and corrective surgeries. The clinic combines the highly specialized treatment fields under one roof, in view all patient’s injuries. These centers introduced the latest technologies, which have emerged, inter alia, from our own research. This ensures that, in addition to the optimal state of the art treatment, we get additional data which can help future patients.

Medical services: hand and foot surgery / rheumatic orthopedics, knee, hip and sports traumatology (joint replacement), treatment of spinal, shoulder and elbow injuries, bone and soft tissue tumors, bone expansion/adjustment of deformities and assistance for severe injuries.
Treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors has a long tradition in the hospital. The clinic annually performs about 200 surgeries for patients with tumors of bone or soft tissue. Every year, approx. 600 cases of traumatic disorders are considered and discussed on an interdisciplinary level within the clinic.

The traumatology clinic provides treatment for about 3,000 patients a year. Of these 3,000 patients, about 800 patients need intensive medical care. Intensive Care Unit consists of eight beds, which are divided into two double and four single beds. Individual and 24-hour care for patients is provided by a qualified and experienced team of doctors and nurses.

Patients rooms

The kid rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The kid bathroom includes both a toilet and a shower. All rooms offer functional beds with orthopaedic mattresses ensuring unsurpassed support for overall body during sleep. There are bedside stands with pull-out tables, lockers and safe boxes in each room. It is also possible to access the Internet from a PC, smartphone or tablet so that kids always keep in touch with their parents and other family members. There is also a TV in each room.
You can opt for a single or a double room. An accompanying person may stay with the kid in the room. A double room is shared with another patient.
The enhanced comfort rooms are equipped with a safety box, a fridge and upholstered furniture.

Meals and Menus

The patient and the accompanying person are offered a daily choice of three menus. If you are on a specific diet for any reason, you will be offered an individual menu. Please inform the medical staff about your dietary preferences prior to the treatment.
