The specialization covers the treatment of pathologies of the upper and lower extremities. The department also includes an Emergency Service that works around the clock. The clinical practice is based on an interdisciplinary approach, which is why orthopedists, traumatologists, physiotherapists, rheumatologists and other doctors work hand in hand here. Due to the outstanding quality of medical services, the department has an excellent reputation throughout the country. The Chief Physician of the department is Dr. med. Carlo De Simoni.
The main goal of the department’s medical team is the most effective restoration of the patient's mobility and getting rid of the pain syndrome. To achieve this goal, the most modern and reliable treatment methods are applied – both conservative and surgical ones. If possible, the doctors try to eliminate the causes and clinical manifestations of the disease conservatively, but if such treatment does not give positive dynamics, then they resort to surgical interventions.
