About the Department of Alternative Medicine at Hyperthermia Center Hannover
The Department of Alternative Medicine at the Hyperthermia Center Hannover treats oncological diseases and chronic pathologies using complementary medicine methods. The main focus of the department's clinical practice is the treatment of cancer in various locations. The department admits patients with oncological pathologies of the female reproductive system, male reproductive system, organs of the urinary system, and organs of the gastrointestinal tract, as well as patients with leukemia, lymphoma, sarcoma, skin cancer, and brain tumors. The department is an expert center in the field of hyperthermia for cancer treatment. It offers 2 types of whole-body hyperthermia and 4 types of local hyperthermia. Special emphasis is also placed on the treatment of cancer with intravenous infusions of vitamin B17, artemisinin, curcumin, glutathione, and other substances. In the course of treatment, the physicians make extensive use of other methods of complementary medicine, such as bioresonance therapy, Gerson therapy, homeopathy, low-dose naltrexone therapy, low-dose chemotherapy, ozone therapy, photodynamic therapy, ultrasound therapy, virotherapy, and sonodynamic therapy. Another important focus of the department's doctors is the treatment of chronic diseases using complementary medicine methods. The medical facility has gained impressive experience in providing medical care to patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and rheumatic diseases. A personalized treatment regimen is developed for each patient, taking into account a specific diagnosis, general condition, age, and other factors. During the therapeutic process, patients receive professional psychological support. The Head Physician of the department is Dr. med. Mohamed Ali Zayen.
Carrying out hyperthermia for cancer is one of the primary clinical tasks of the department's doctors. Hyperthermia is a method of treating malignant tumors by exposing a part of the body (local hyperthermia) or the whole body (whole-body hyperthermia) to temperatures in the range of 42-45°C. According to experts at the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe), hyperthermia ranks fourth in effectiveness among cancer treatments. The therapeutic effect is achieved by heating the tumor tissue to critically high temperatures: cancer cells lack oxygen, and cellular metabolism is disrupted, resulting in the death of cancer cells (apoptosis); healthy tissues are not damaged. Typically, hyperthermia is used as an adjunct to chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy to enhance the effectiveness of these therapeutic modalities. In addition to its high efficiency, the method is completely safe and virtually free of side effects.
The department successfully performs local deep hyperthermia and whole-body hyperthermia. In the first case, the area of the body affected by the pathological process is exposed to high temperatures. The duration of the therapeutic procedure is 60-120 minutes, and the treatment is performed on an outpatient basis. Local deep hyperthermia is highly effective in the treatment of peritoneal metastases, malignant tumors of the breast, prostate, brain, stomach, lungs, pancreas, gallbladder, kidneys, sarcomas, melanoma, and bone metastases, as well as inoperable tumors of various localizations. Whole-body hyperthermia involves heating not a specific pathological focus, but the whole body, with the exception of the head. During the treatment, the department uses infrared lamps with a water filter and high air humidity. With their help, the patient's body is heated up to levels in the range of 38.5-40.5 ºC. The duration of the whole-body hyperthermia procedure is about 2-2.5 hours. During this time, the patient is under the close supervision of medical personnel. The department's doctors recommend whole-body hyperthermia to patients with breast cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer, gallbladder cancer, and kidney cancer, as well as sarcomas, skin tumors, and bone metastases.
An integral part of the daily clinical practice of the department's medical team is the provision of intravenous infusion therapy. The goal of treatment is to activate the immune system to fight the underlying disease. The department's specialists believe that each patient's body and disease are unique. Therefore, they always give preference to a personalized approach in the selection of drugs for infusion therapy. If, based on the results of the examination, the doctors diagnose a deficiency of amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, then to replenish them, intravenous infusions of ginger extract 6-Shogaol, artemisinin, curcumin, glutathione, resveratrol, green tea extract (EGCG), mistletoe extract, NAD+, vitamins C and B17, and procaine base are performed.
