Department of Cardiology
The Department of Cardiology specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the entire spectrum of heart conditions. The primary interest is the treatment of coronary artery disease, heart failure, heart valve defects, heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmias), and acute coronary syndrome. The department provides conservative pharmacotherapy and performs catheter-based interventional cardiac procedures. The department's team of cardiologists has 4 cardiac catheterization laboratories equipped with the latest generation technology, which allows specialists to successfully perform minimally traumatic interventional treatment of heart valve defects, arrhythmias, and other heart conditions without traumatic surgery involving opening of the sternum. The department is also proud of its advanced diagnostic base: comfortable facilities for classical and stress echocardiography, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. The department also has a Chest Pain Unit for the treatment of acute coronary syndrome. There are 237 inpatient beds in the department. Together with the Department of Cardiac Surgery, the medical facility forms one of the largest and most advanced Heart Centers in the country, and also has the status of the German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK), of which there are only seven in Germany.

Department of Cardiology
The Department of Cardiology provides the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services in its area of competence. The department's team of doctors specializes in the conservative and catheter-based treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The department operates three high-tech Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories, where physicians perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary heart disease. The medical facility also has extensive experience in the treatment of heart valve pathologies. The department’s cardiologists are convinced that the key to effective treatment is accurate diagnosis, so it is equipped with modern diagnostic rooms for resting and stress electrocardiography (ECG), 24- and 48-hour Holter monitoring, echocardiography, long-term blood pressure measurements, and other examinations. Another structural unit of the department is an outpatient clinic that specializes in monitoring the operation of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices. The department's cardiologists are also competent in the implantation of pacemakers and event recorders. Catheter-based interventions on the heart are performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. The department's doctors follow the current clinical protocols and recommendations of the German Society of Cardiology (DGK) in their daily clinical practice, which facilitates high treatment success rates.

Department of Cardiology
The Department of Cardiology provides comprehensive diagnostics and treatment of the full range of cardiovascular diseases and concomitant internal diseases. The department's cardiologists specialize in drug therapy and interventional catheter-based treatment. State-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories serve to perform many effective interventional procedures that often replace traumatic open-heart surgery. The specialists successfully perform interventional procedures such as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, left atrial appendage closure with an occluder, cardiac resynchronization therapy, and defibrillator implantation. The department has a Chest Pain Unit where patients with acute coronary syndrome are admitted round the clock. The department boasts its advanced diagnostic infrastructure, including equipment for CT, MRI, and ultrasound scans of the heart, intravascular ultrasound scans, echocardiography, Holter ECG monitoring, fractional flow reserve measurement, etc. The health of patients is in the safe hands of a team of highly qualified specialists for whom the priority is effective and, at the same time, sparing treatment with due consideration of the patient's individual wishes and needs.
