Prior to hair transplantation, the patient undergoes a clinical examination and the required set of diagnostic tests, on the basis of which the attending physician decides on the advisability of the operation. Hair grafts are taken using a special electric microsurgical instrument (punch), after which the extracted hair follicles are placed in a reservoir with a special solution and the required air temperature. The hair follicles are transplanted by making small holes in the skin in the area of baldness or intense hair loss. During the intervention, the doctor can transplant no more than 2,000 hair grafts. The hair follicles are extracted and transplanted under local anesthesia and, in some cases, the doctors can use sedation.
