About the Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center
The Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center offers the full range of diagnostics and treatment for infants, children and adolescents suffering from gastrointestinal diseases, digestive disorders, obesity and liver diseases. To provide young patients with highly professional comprehensive medical care, the team of the department's doctors has all the ultramodern technologies. Since proper nutrition plays a crucial role in the development of the child's body, the nutrition consultations are also held here. The department is headed by Dr. med. Shlomi Cohen.
To make an accurate diagnosis, the department carries out the full range of instrumental diagnostics, including endoscopy, gastroscopy and colonoscopy, as well as the testing of the gastrointestinal motility, for example, esophageal and rectal manometry, esophageal pH test (pH-metry), liver biopsy, etc.
