The Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Jena under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Otto Witte offers a wide range of advanced diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases of the central and peripheral nervous systems. The specialists of the department provide treatment of epilepsy, memory disorders, headaches, multiple sclerosis, motor disorders, etc. In addition, the department is the certified Stroke Unit.
The department is proud of its team of more than 80 employees who have at their disposal the resources of the University Hospital Jena. Within the framework of numerous scientific working groups, there are explored various aspects of the nervous system and its disorders ranging from molecular neurobiology up to modern methods of brain imaging.
The Department of Neurology offers treatment of the following neurological disorders:
