Department of Orthodontics apply to the whole range of different types of orthodontic anomalies. These include the prevention and treatment of deformation of the teeth, incorrect position of the jaw, malformations of the facial skeleton.

The treatment involves the following removable devices (plates, functional orthodontic appliances), multi-band devices (standard braces, ceramic braces and self-ligating braces), as well as the so-called "independent" devices (Herbst device, anchors). Particular attention is paid to the treatment of patients with cleft palate and upper lip, hard and soft palate, defects of the craniofacial region. It provides a combined orthodontic surgical and orthopedic treatment upon incorrect position of the jaw, severe form in adults, as well as treatment of fractures of the jaws. The interdisciplinary cooperation with clinics of oral surgery, maxillofacial surgery, pediatric neurosurgery, pediatrics, department of phoniatrics, pedaudiology and human genetics is of particular importance in the clinic.
