Since April 2021, Prof. Dr. med. Tilman Humpl has been the Head Physician of the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the St. Elisabethen Hospital Lörrach. The specialist has vast experience in neonatology, pediatric cardiology and special pediatric intensive care. Prior to joining the St. Elisabethen Hospital Lörrach, the professor was the Head Physician of the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the University Hospital Bern in Switzerland. Dr. Tilman Humpl also has long experience in pediatrics in hospitals in Toronto, Canada. The specialist is the author of numerous scientific publications in national and international publications. He is a member of many professional societies, including the Canadian Cardiovascular Society, the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, the German Society of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. The professor is also actively involved in training young doctors and nurses. Dr. Humpl received his medical education at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
