Bernkastel-Kues is famous for its numerous wineries and vineyards, which not only surround the town, but are also harmoniously combined with its medieval architecture, which has been preserved to this day. Moreover, Bernkastel-Kues has the status of a spa town. It attracts admirers of tranquil and measured rest, tasty wine and beautiful natural landscapes.

The town has many interesting sights. The medieval market square of the 17th century, the Graach Gate, the Renaissance Town Hall and the Moselle Wine Museum, where one can get acquainted with the 2000-year history of viticulture in the region, are of particular interest among tourists. An important historical monument of the town is the medieval Landshut Castle, which rises on the top of a hill covered with dense greenery. There is a restaurant inside the castle, and its tower offers an amazing panorama of the town. In addition, tourists are attracted by the luxurious Lieser Castle, which was built in the style of historicism on the banks of the Moselle River. In 1981, the castle was included in the list of German architectural monuments.

After a walk around the town and excursions to the historical sites, tourists like to go to cozy family taverns located in half-timbered houses in the historic center in order to taste dainty German cuisine and, of course, enjoy the conversation with a glass of delicious local wine.
