The Department of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the MEDIAN Rehabilitation Clinic Schlangenbad specializes in the rehabilitation of patients with any rheumatic diseases and concomitant internal pathologies. In addition, the competence of the department's specialists includes the rehabilitation treatment of any musculoskeletal rheumatic lesions, including the rehabilitation of patients after joint replacement surgery. Medical care is provided both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. All rehabilitation measures provided in the department are aimed at the alleviation of pain and maximum elimination of movement disorders. The department is headed by Dr. med. Sinan Cilaci.
The department has modern diagnostic rooms with state-of-the-art equipment for the assessment of the condition of connective tissue, joints and the entire musculoskeletal system. The high-precision and high-quality diagnostics prior to the rehabilitation largely determines its success. The department performs such diagnostic tests as classical radiography, laboratory tests, including serologic tests, ultrasound imaging of the abdominal organs, thyroid gland, joints and soft tissues, resting ECG, assessment of the patient's psychological state and others. The patients of the MEDIAN Rehabilitation Clinic Schlangenbad live in comfortable single and double rooms made in pleasant colors and modern design. Each patient room has an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. In some rooms, the bathroom is equipped taking into account the needs of patients with disabilities, so those people who use a wheelchair do not need any assistance from other people. The standard patient room furnishing includes an automatically adjustable bed with a nurse call system, a bedside table, a wardrobe, a dining table and chairs, a telephone and a TV. Wi-Fi is also available in the patient rooms. Almost all patient rooms have a balcony.
If desired, the patients can live in the enhanced-comfort rooms. Such rooms are additionally equipped with upholstered furniture, a mini-refrigerator and a safe for storing valuables.
Meals and Menus
The patient and the accompanying person are offered tasty and balanced three meals a day. The patients have a daily choice of three menus for lunch, one of which is vegetarian, as well as buffet breakfast and dinner.
