The Department of Adult and Pediatric Oncology, Hematology, Radiation Therapy and Bone Marrow Transplant at the Medipol Mega University Hospital Istanbul offers diagnostics and comprehensive treatment of the full range of oncological diseases, as well as benign and malignant blood diseases in children and adults. The department is an interdisciplinary center, which treats patients with all types of tumors. The department specializes in the treatment of lung, breast, prostate, colorectal, esophageal and stomach cancers, melanoma, sarcomas, head and neck, brain and neuroendocrine tumors. The Chief Physician of the department is Prof. Dr. med. Fatma Deniz Sargin.

The department ranks among the leading Cancer Centers for adults and children in Turkey. All the very latest treatment methods are available for cancer treatment, including radiation therapy, chemo-, hormone and targeted therapy. To treat neuroblastomas and other neuroendocrine tumors, the department in cooperation with the Department of Nuclear Medicine successfully applies radioactive iodine therapy (MIBG therapy). Thanks to the interdisciplinary approach, long experience of the doctors and the use of advanced methods (intraoperative radiation, targeted therapy, etc.), the department demonstrates very high treatment efficiency rates.
