Immediately before the procedure, the patient puts on glasses and covers healthy skin areas. Using special equipment, the doctor irradiates the areas of the skin affected by vitiligo with long-wave ultraviolet light. The doctor selects the radiation dose individually, depending on the gender, age, height and weight of the patient. The doctor monitors the skin&#39;s response to treatment, namely the appearance of erythema (redness). In the absence of erythema, a single dose of radiation during the next procedure is increased by 10-20%; in the presence of erythema, the radiation dose remains constant. PUVA therapy is tolerated well. If skin dryness appears, the patient can use non-irritating and unscented moisturizers.<\/p>\n\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><strong>Day 35<\/strong>. The doctor evaluates the results of the treatment, conducts a follow-up examination, elaborates recommendations for the follow-up.
