The Department of Neurosurgery at Rambam Health Care Campus under the direction of Prof. Menashe Zaaroor deals with the diagnosis and treatment of the entire spectrum of diseases of the central nervous system. The Department has 32 beds, including 11 neurointensive care beds. There are annually treated about 4,500 patients and performed over 1,200 surgical procedures. 

The Department of Neurosurgery at Rambam is nationally recognized as a leader in the diagnosis and treatment of all neurosurgical diseases. It has state-of-th​e-art surgical and monitoring equipment and its medical team is highly experienced in the most advanced surgical techniques. In addition, the Department under the direction of Prof. Menashe Zaaroor is a pioneer in using FVIIa treatment to control bleeding in head injuries.

The Department of Neurosurgery at Rambam Health Care Campus includes some special units, namely the Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit, the Neurophysiology Lab, the Clinic for Tremor, which is the only in Israel and the second in the world to perform high-precision  non-invasive intracerebral intervention with the use of MRI-guided ultrasonic waves. The Department also focuses on the treatment of neurosurgical diseases in children. 

The medical team, led by Prof. Menashe Zaaroor, consists of 8 neurosurgeons and 6 interns, who successfully combine their clinical activities with research in the field of immunotherapy, robotics, as well as evoked potentials, neurophysiology etc. The nursing staff is also highly experienced in providing intensive care.
