The Department of Orthopedic, Cardiac and Neurological Rehabilitation at the St. Antonius Hospital Eschweiler offers the full range of services in the fields of its competence. The department's medical team specializes in outpatient rehabilitation for patients who have suffered from diseases of the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular and nervous systems. The Chief Physician of the department is Dr. med. Markus Schlaechter.
The patients' health is in the good hands of a multidisciplinary team of physicians, consisting of physiotherapists, specialists in therapeutic exercises, massage therapists, occupational therapists, nutritionists and other experts. The department has an excellent modern infrastructure, including the advanced exercise equipment for the restoration of fine and gross motor skills, rehabilitation swimming pools, medical bathtubs, treatment rooms for massage, respiratory therapy, etc. The department has a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, while the doctors are always ready for personal communication with the patients and their loved ones. The patients of the St. Antonius Hospital Eschweiler live in cozy and light rooms. All the patient rooms are well equipped to make the patient feel as comfortable as possible throughout the entire period of hospital stay. The patient room includes an automatically adjustable bed, a bedside table, a wardrobe, a TV and a telephone. Each patient room has an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. Some patient rooms have specially designed bathrooms for disabled people. The patient rooms also have Wi-Fi.
