The Department of Internal Medicine IV and V at the University Hospital Giessen under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Dr. rer. nat. Friedrich Grimminger covers general internal medicine, as well as several specialized focuses. You can receive a wide range of advanced innovative treatment options, especially in the following focuses: cancer of the internals (internal oncology), blood cancer (hematology), as well as symptomatic treatment of progressive incurable diseases (palliative care).  Other focuses of the Department include intensive care medicine, allergology and special pain therapy.
