The main objective of the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Immunology at the University Hospital Marburg UKGM is to provide a comprehensive treatment to patients suffering from cancers within the Comprehensive Cancer Center. The department is highly competent in the diagnosis and treatment of leukemia, molecular biology of malignant tumors with a focus placed on myeloid leukemia and gastrointestinal lymphomas. The department is headed by Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Neubauer.

In addition to the treatment of malignant lymphomas (including gastrointestinal lymphomas), particular attention is given to the treatment of solid tumors, including testicular, lung, bronchial cancer, as well as gastrointestinal tumors, including pancreatic cancer. 

Moreover, the department treats all disorders of the hematopoietic system and other oncological diseases, as well as conditions caused by the immune system. It provides a specialized consultation for patients interested in bone marrow and stem cell transplant.
