Department of Abdominal, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery
The Department of Abdominal, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery treats almost all surgical diseases. The spectrum includes all diseases of the internal organs and glands, lungs, abdominal wall and all vessels outside the thorax. In addition, the department performs organ transplantations (kidney, pancreas).
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery offers the entire spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the university level ranging from outpatient dentoalveolar (dental) surgery and implantology (Section of Oral Surgery and Implantology) up to complex inpatient interventions in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Department of Neurosurgery
The Department of Neurology offers the full range of neurosurgical procedures. There are annually performed over 200 operations. The department is focused on the treatment of brain/pituitary tumors, spinal neurosurgery and pediatric neurosurgery.

Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery
The Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery offers the full range of modern orthopedics, rheumatology and trauma surgery. The department specializes in the replacement of all large joints (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow). Considerable importance is ascribed to the renewal of endoprostheses by means of joint replacement surgery, restoration of large bone defects and the use of special implants.

Department of Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Metabolism and Clinical Infectiology
The Department of Gastroenterology specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the digestive tract and endocrine glands, as well as in the treatment of metabolic disorders and infectious diseases. To provide the treatment of this wide range of diseases as best as possible, the department has three focuses: gastroenterology, metabolism and clinical infectology, including the Section of Endoscopy, endocrinology and diabetology.

The department specializes in the intensive care of urgent cardiac cases, the use of modern catheter methods in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and narrowed coronary arteries with the help of hemodynamic support systems and without them.
Department of Hematology, Oncology and Immunology
The main objective of the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Immunology is to provide a comprehensive treatment to patients suffering from cancers within the Comprehensive Cancer Center. The department is highly competent in the diagnosis and treatment of leukemia, molecular biology of malignant tumors with a focus placed on myeloid leukemia and gastrointestinal lymphomas.
Department of Nephrology
The Department of Nephrology treats patients with internal diseases, especially those with kidney diseases and hypertension. The department also offers both diagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring intensive care (failure of several organs and acute kidney injury), chronic kidney disease, dialysis and other methods of detoxification, as well as kidney transplantation and combined kidney-pancreas transplantation.
Department of Neuropathology
The Department of Neuropathology deals with the detection of pathological changes in the central and peripheral nervous systems, cerebral meninges and skeletal muscles. The main task of the department is to determine an accurate diagnosis based on the histological examination of tissues.

The Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine offers treatment of the entire spectrum of diseases in children and adolescents. The focuses of the clinical activity include neonatology, pediatric nephrology and transplant nephrology, as well as pediatric pulmonology and allergology. The preoperative and postoperative care is provided by pediatricians and pediatric nurses in close cooperation with the corresponding specialists within the children’s hospital.

The main focus is placed on nose and paranasal sinus surgery, a comprehensive cochlear implantation program, which includes the maintenance of the installed middle ear auditory systems, the entire range of oncology in this field, as well as on the treatment of patients with vascular malformations in the head and neck.

The department offers both diagnosis and treatment of all gynecological clinical pictures. These include oncological diseases of the genitals, vagina, cervix, uterus (endometrial cancer, sarcomas), ovaries and fallopian tubes (ovarian and fallopian tube cancer), as well as peritoneal cancer (primary peritoneal carcinoma).
Department of Obstetrics and Perinatal Medicine
According to the Focus magazine rating of 2017, the Department of Obstetrics and Perinatal Medicine ranks among the top German departments specializing in obstetrics! The department takes care of pregnancy and childbirth in a family-oriented ambience. In close cooperation with the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, the department offers an optimal medical care for high-risk pregnancies. The department performs about 1,400 deliveries every year.
Department of Ophthalmology
The Department of Ophthalmology has the very latest diagnostic and treatment methods for diseases of the eye, eye muscles, lacrimal passages and eyelids. Thanks to close cooperation with the Children's Hospital, Departments of Neurology, Neuroradiology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, here one can receive a comprehensive and effective treatment of the full spectrum of ophthalmic diseases.
Department of Dermatology and Allergology
The Department of Dermatology and Allergology offers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic options available in modern dermatology. The department is the certified Skin Cancer Center, which offers both diagnosis and treatment of malignant skin tumors, plastic reconstructive skin surgery, sentinel lymph node extirpation, surgery for skin metastases, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, additional examinations, including high-resolution ultrasound.
Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology
According to the Focus magazine rating of 2017, the Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology ranks among the top German departments specializing in prostate cancer treatment! It offers both diagnosis and treatment of all urologic clinical pictures in children and adults. In accordance with the requirements of the German Cancer Society, the department has been certified as the Prostate Cancer Center.
Department of Pediatric Surgery
The Department of Pediatric Surgery offers both diagnostics and treatment of the entire range of diseases in children.
