The Department under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. Markus F. Neurath offers to its patients both diagnosis and treatment of pneumological clinical pictures at the highest level. The treatment is focused on chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and severe asthma, as well as drug therapy for lung cancer.
The Section of Hepatology at the University Hospital Erlangen treats patients with liver and biliary tract diseases. An important aspect of this work is integration of outpatient and inpatient care, as well as an interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments for liver and biliary tract diseases.
